Biography – Jen Sholdice

I have had an intense desire to be a mother for as long as I or my parents can remember. My love for my daughters and all 3 of my personal birth experiences have motivated me to choose a career that educates families about their informed choices and rights in pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum. A career that provides emotional and physical support throughout the journey into parenthood. I also tend to a families bonding needs, more importantly, Mother’s recovery.

My fundamental goal is to ensure a joyful transition into motherhood, heighten bonding between mom and baby, as well as empower the new mother in her childbirth experience so that she is satisfied with her birth and may be successful at breastfeeding.

Presently, I am practicing as a Birth Doula and providing Breastfeeding Counselling to my clients.

I grew up in and still currently live in Kelowna with my husband and beautiful daughters; 5 year old Emily and 2.5 year old Eden.
